FAVORITE PURCHASE

I finally received my new iPhone case I ordered from Etsy. It’s the same as the one pictured below but in Noir. Next purchase – the real deal.

FAVORITE PHOTO(S)

Two words. Bodhi Rose. Awestruck. I am so proud that Wildfox chose to photograph and feature a Wihelmina Curve model in their most recent denim editorial shoot. The shoot is to prove just how tailored Wildfox and Wildfox denim is to each and every individual body type. She is flawless. So much applause for Kim Gordon. What a gem.

FAVORITE SCENT

I adore Jo Malone fragrances. Although English Pear & Freesia is my all time favorite, Red Roses is a very close second. I know the smell of rose doesn’t evoke the same senses for everyone but I absolutely love it. So timeless. Definitely time to make the purchase. Candle too.

FAVORITE MUST HAVE ITEM

The Sigerson Morrison Vaschal gladiator is to die. I’ve been eyeing this sandal for the past couple of months – after seeing it on style must Maja Wyh. Duh. It’s the perfect addition to skinnies, cutoffs and mini skirts all around town.  You can’t go wrong. $450 and it comes in a Camel shade too. http://www.sigersonmorrison.com

FAVORITE LOOK

Speaking of the inability to make mistakes, look who we have here – Maja. God. I’ve never really thought of stabbing someone in order to raid their wardrobe but if the plan were to be carried out in a fugue state – Maja would need to sleep with one eye open. Her style is perfection. So effortless and always chic. C’mon. A simple white sweatshirt with gauzy pants and chunky gold? She can’t say I didn’t warn her.

FAVORITE PRODUCT

If you aren’t already privvy to my favorite bath/skincare line you should really pay f*cking attention to the words you read. I’m only slightly kidding. Philosophy boasts some of the most simple, straightforward, no bullshit skincare products. This Microdelivery exfoliating wash is part of that line up. It’s amazing for dry skin and is really prepares your face for makeup application. I don’t use a primer so exfoliating and moisturizing are bigger parts of my nightly routine. As with all Philosophy products, a little goes a long way. I use a dime sized amount every other day and my skin is noticeably smoother. Sh*t you not. I don’t f*ck around when it comes to Philosophy.

  1. Yes! Thank you for reviewing the micro-exfo by Philosophy! Added to my list now. They gave me a sample when I bought Purity and Hope and I was impressed, but thought, “I wonder if this is just projecting on me b/c it was a free sample”. BTW, you were bang-on about this product range. It’s been almost two weeks, and no more tiny flakes, dry patches or grease-slick at 5 PM. It’s wonderful! The only teeeeeeensy thing I was mad about was that the Purity 3-in-1 claims to remove all eye makeup, but kind of fails at it. Every time, I’ve had to go over with more cleanser or a full-out remover pad….

Love you and thanks, as usual. Maja Wyh? WOAH.

    • Ugh so happy you are loving it. Okay – I am a jerk for not specifying which Purity I was raving about. The Purity made Simple original formula is what I swear by, the Facial Cleansing Gel & Eye Makeup Remover is a sub par version. I tried it once and found that, although it boasts eye makeup removal, it barely did the trick. I hope you got Purity made Simple. And how much are you using? I shit you not, I use a dime sized amount and it removes my 3am Vegas eyes immaculately! Disclose! Disclose! XO

  2. Just checked, and yes, I have the Purity made Simple original and I am only using a dime-sized amount of it each time. I think I found the culprit though – my crazy-ass-hardcore waterproof Lancome black pencil eyeliner. While all the other eye makeup melts away, and the actual “line” of liner disappears too, blackish shadows stubbornly cling in some areas. It’s probably not helping that I’m tightlining either – tough to get a cleanser up and under your eyelid onto your waterline. For these reasons, I’m ok that in my case I’ll need a remover too. It’s not you Philosophy, it’s me.
