Unlike some black ones, the color won’t wuss out to gray after hours of wear.

2. Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Liner $23

(Gel Eyeliner)


All 13 silky colors, including best seller Black Ink, cling to lids on the first try and won’t move,

3. MAC Liquid Liner $17

(Liquid Liner)


Get smoldering eyes from this little compact. The creamy eyeliner can be applied wet for a precise line or dry for a smudged effect.

4. Maybelline Lash Stiletto $7

(All around liquid liner)


This is my favorite drug store liner. It goes on so easily, perfect for those that aren’t pros at applying liquid liner. I use it a lot for my daytime cat eye. Easiest application ever and it never fades.

5. Sue Devitt $22

(Pencil Liner)


With its velvety texture, it glides on smoothly without tugging or pulling, and the foam point on the opposite end can be used to smudge a line for a smoky, sexy look.

6. Revlon Color Stay $6

(All around pencil liner)


Ease of application, fade proof and it glides on without pulling your lids.

(Shade for Olive Skin)


Bathes lids in a purple so multidimensional, it’s hard to believe you’re wearing just one color.

2. Maybelline New York Color Tattoo $7

(Inexpensive Shadow)


It’s got the ease of a cream and the longevity of a powder. The nine vibrant colors are split between bolds and neutrals, like top seller Bad to the Bronze.

3. Josie Maran Beautiful Eyes $36

(Eco Friendly)


These nontoxic shadows are loaded with argan oil and flower extracts (even the compact is biodegradable. The palettes contain universal colors that women of any age can wear. Nice plus.

4. MAC in Amber Lights $13

(Shade for Dark skin)


Easy to layer, the pearlescent bronze warms the skin as much as the eyes.

5. L’Oréal HIP $8

(Inexpensive shadow)


Fun, vibrant, exciting—just a few of the words makeup experts use to describe these shadows that are pretty impressive for the steal. With 35 long-wear shades in five finishes, there are infinite possibilities to mix and match.

6. Nars in Mekong $24

(Shade for Dark skin)


Like freshly ground gourmet coffee, this extra-shimmery chocolate shadow wakes up sleepy eyes.

7. Tom Ford in Cognac Sable $75

(Shade for Olive skin)


This dramatic quad has all you need for a shimmery, smoky look. I know it’s pricey but it’s a luxe brand with just as luxe shades.

8. Chanel in Taupe Grisé $25

(Shade for Fair skin)


Drapes lids in a nude-gray veil that’s never boring.

9. Nars Duos Eye Shadow $33


These featherweight powders can be blended together and applied with a wet brush to create a bold, gutsy look. The best part? The color you see in the package is exactly what you get. I love that.

Apply with a fingertip to create a sheer wash of bronze that brightens eyes.

11. Lorac Starry-Eyed Baked Eye Shadow Trio in Superstar $24


Champagne, fawn and cocoa add definition and a really pretty shimmer. Great shade for those holiday parties.

This iridescent duo produces a gorgeous sheen.

13. Bobbi Brown Shimmer Wash Eyeshadow in Black Plum $20

A metallic brown that isn’t too sparkly so you can go from day to night. The perfect transition color.

14. Stila Eye Shadow Pans in Kitten $18

(Best Shade)


I die over this color. Kitten is everything. It’s a glimmering champagne and it’s the perfect balance of light and dark for a unique pop. Great as a highlighter, as well as for the bottom lash line. (That’s my secret for bright eyes).

15. Estée Lauder Pure Color EyeShadow in Copper Penny $18


A metallic brown brightens eyes without being overly sparkly.

16. MAC Eye Shadow in Embark $15


A MAC shade fav. Trace it along the bottom lashes to make eyes appear bigger.

17. Nars Cream Eyeshadow in Corfu $21


This pearlescent beige cream is so sheer and blendable, it’s nearly impossible to overdo.

18. Revlon Eye Shadow $8

(Best Inexpensive)


The pros absolutely love these shadows. It’s not frosty and comes in the perfect rang of shades. Takes the guesswork out of choosing complimentary shades.

19. NARS Cream Shadow $21

(Cream shadow)


Unlike many other cream shadows, these don’t migrate to the crease of your lid after a few hours, plus the color stays true rather than fading or rubbing off.

20. MAC Eye Shadow $18

(Powder Shadow)


One of my biggest collections, the texture of these shadows is amazing. So many finishes, and so many colors. I need a catalogue of what I have when I go shopping for new ones. 140 colors available.

(Inexpensive shadow)


Available in subtle matte, shimmery or deeply pigmented shades, these silky, crease-resistant shadow duos are one of the best out there.

The jumbo wand inflates even the puniest fringe. Layer as much as you like—this stuff won’t clump.

Waterproof mascaras can be a touch too stiff. But with this pliable formula, “I can build volume, and it layers really well.
