Okay I’m no sports enthusiast (aside from my joy for football), and I haven’t engaged in anything remotely sport related other than extreme shopping but that doesn’t mean that I’m not dying over the runway collections (and purchase-ready items) that are being served right now. (See how I did that?)
From courtside flouncy knee grazers at Viktor & Rolf to Opening Ceremonys sport influenced wear, athletic influence is everywhere.
Alexander Wang’s updated sweatshirt and pleated leather mini.
Athletic inspired shoes, skirt and top by Opening Ceremony.
Viktor & Rolf’s more feminine take.
Preen’s “fit and flare” dress.
Stella McCartney’s take on tennis whites.
Mesh and monochrome at DKNY. (One of my FAV looks this summer and autumn).
Now that you get the gist of what designer’s are showcasing check out the more affordable choices…

As always, these are just a few of my picks for this trend. There’s a ton more where that came from and the accessories are endless. I would stick with simple though – gold and rosegold are perfect companions to this look and faux leather baseball caps and simple snapbacks can really cinch your look without making it too under-dressed.
Varsity style, leather biker and structured blazers can easily be thrown over these dresses and/or skirts and hey – the baggier – the better.
